Get Involved

With your help, we can support even more Baltimore City residents as they recover from the impacts of crime and take back their lives.

We’re deeply grateful to the volunteers, partners and friends who contribute their time, talents and dedication to expand ROAR’s capabilities. There are all kinds of ways to help. Please reach out via the form below if you’d like to join us!

Volunteer

Can you help with language translation or interpretation services? Fundraising or community outreach support? We can also use help with administrative office support, data processing and other tasks that help us keep ROAR running strong!

Pro Bono Services

If you’re a licensed professional such as an attorney, therapist or healthcare provider, you can support ROAR clients with pro bono professional services. Your pro bono work directly extends ROAR’s ability to provide critical services to survivors who need them.

Host an Event or Fundraiser

Hosted fundraising events are a fun way to raise awareness and much-needed funds to support our programs. Whether the event is at your home, your office or another venue, we’d love to work with you to help make the event a success.

Request a Speaker or Staff Training

If your group would like to learn more about our work, a ROAR staff member can speak at your event or provide training on topics related to crime survivors, support services and victims’ rights.

Join Our Advisory Board

If you’re passionate about our mission and have skills in areas such as fundraising, strategic planning or nonprofit management, we invite you to consider joining our board. Board members provide guidance and help ensure we can continue serving the needs of crime survivors in Baltimore.

Advocate in Your Community

You can help support ROAR’s work by advocating for crime survivors in your community. This can include raising awareness about ROAR services at public events, advocating for policy reform, or working on grass-roots community efforts to address the root causes of crime.

I agreed to co-counsel a case with an attorney from ROAR when I read the injustice the client had faced. What I did not expect was how rewarding the experience would be. The staff at ROAR were very supportive and eager to help. And the client was such an amazing young man who had persevered through so much adversity.

Erica L., Pro Bono Partner

Volunteering for ROAR was such a great experience. I went to events throughout the Spring and Summer around Baltimore City to let people know about ROAR and what it can do for them. It was such a great way to learn more about my newly adopted city and support a great organization.
