Case Manager

Shai’Nfiny Wooden, one of the ROAR Centers case managers, helps survivors of crime create some form of normalcy after a traumatic experience by distinguishing individual client care and support. She attended the University of Baltimore, where she received her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Victim Studies and Trauma. Shai’Nfiny has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations in Baltimore to help educate survivors of crime on victim rights and provide trauma-informed care.

Before joining the ROAR team, Shai’Nfiny worked with Baltimore Neighborhood Inc. to educate citizens of Maryland on fair housing law and tenant/landlord rights. She also worked as a therapeutic counselor for historically underserved youth with the Board of Child Care in Baltimore County. Her dedication to reforming the view of trauma-informed care within the criminal justice system paved the way for numerous opportunities to share the importance of helping survivors of trauma rebuild, overcome, and rise. Anyone who has seen Shai’s trademark hats won’t be surprised to learn that she is a luxury event stylist who specializes in customized Balloon Arches.

“I love that ROAR  serves ALL survivors of crime. It is one less barrier or credibility check a survivor has to pass before receiving much-needed support.”
