Exploring our free online Resources Library is the first step to getting help at ROAR. Survivors who still need help can come to our walk-in Brief Advice Clinic as a next step.

Brief Advice Clinic

If you’ve survived a violent crime, our Brief Advice Clinic offers a time for you to meet with a ROAR staff member about your needs and receive brief advice about legal issues, healthcare, mental health / therapy needs, housing, employment and more.

If your needs are more complex than what we provide at our Brief Advice Clinic, a staff member will determine if you’re eligible for ROAR’s extended services or refer you to a different agency.

This is a walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary. Brief Advice Clinic is held twice per month. You do NOT have to report the crime to police to receive help from ROAR. You can access our services regardless of immigration status.

Please call 410-706-2781 for pre-recorded Brief Advice Clinic schedule and location information.

Expungement Clinics

Expungement Clinics are held weekly at the Embrace Community Re-Entry Center (ECRC). These clinics focus on legal issues only. They offer you a way to have certain types of information expunged (removed) from your criminal record.

This is NOT a walk-in clinic. You must make an appointment in advance.

To sign up for the Expungement Clinic, call Willie Hamilton at 410-706-3760.

Additional services offered by the ECRC can be requested along with expungements for those returning to the community after incarceration.

Medical Legal Advice through the UMMC's R. Cowley Shock Trauma Center

If you are or have recently been a patient at the Shock Trauma Center, a ROAR lawyer can answer your legal questions related to the events that caused your injury and represent you or refer you to another lawyer with the type of expertise you need.

If you’ve been discharged from the Shock Trauma Center and have legal questions related to your injury, call 410-328-9833 to discuss a referral to ROAR’s MLP program.
