Senior Case Manager

Laurel is a case manager at ROAR, where she works with survivors of crime to address their needs and connect them to helpful resources. She listens to clients goals and hopes for the future and helps navigate the multiple organizations survivors may need to interact with to get these goals met. Laurel is a Social Worker who attended the University of Maryland School of Social Work and received her Master’s in 2007. A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Nepal, Laurel used her cross-cultural skills as a refugee case manager intern with the International Rescue Committee and as a case manager working with torture survivors at Advocates for Survivors of Torture and Trauma for eight years. Most recently, she gained a thorough background in Baltimore City resources while working at 211 Maryland. Additionally, she helped jump-start the Social Worker in the Library program. She is thrilled to be a part of the ROAR Center team and loves helping survivors of crime rebuild their lives and thrive.
