Victoria describes her role senior paralegal as a sidekick to lawyers, whose job is to help the lawyer prepare to aid clients. Victoria worked as an attorney in her home country of Venezuela. A lifelong learner, she studied Criminal Science and Criminology and obtained a Graduate Certificate in International Contracts and Business Law from the American University Washington College of Law.
Before joining the ROAR Center, Victoria worked as an Immigration Paralegal in Baltimore, helping young individuals who had been abandoned, abused, and/or neglected by one or both parents stay legally in the U.S. under the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. She has worked closely with the growing Latinx community in Baltimore. In her downtime, Victoria can be found conquering trails, curating her personal playlist, or getting lost in the plot twists of a good book.
“My favorite aspect of ROAR is working with people who have been silenced unjustly, helping them rediscover the power of their voice while they are healing, and then seeing them thrive!”
